Now that I've got my 250W MH covering one end of the tank (2nd pendant going in sometime this spring) I'm looking at adding an RBTA...hoping that the GSM currently in quarantine will host it.
But - I know that keeping anemones healthy goes way beyond lighting. I'm still researching solutions for a slightly low pH and don't know what my Ca/alk levels are, as I haven't gotten a Ca kit yet and I don't see a reason to monitor alk without having Ca levels to compare against. Nitrates tend to hover around 15 in this tank too...I want to get that down before adding anything truly delicate, obviously. The goal is to stabilize all parameters in the desirable range before trying to keep an anemone.
But what else should I be considering? I have three peppermints in the tank, and I know they probably need to go. Anything else y'all would recommend? Any articles anyone can link to?
Thanks,
Chris
