Oh wow, Robert, I am so sorry for your loss. She was beautiful. I had a silver chinchilla persian years ago that someone left the door open and she got out. I know one of the neighbors grabbed her and kept her. Never did see a sign of her again. She was georgous. If these kids did kill her, I hope something is done that it never happens again. Kids can be cruel when they have a mean streak in them and can lead to future serious probs. Prayers are with you & your family. It's Christmas, get your new kitty. You all apparently "need" it.

Thanks Again Everyone, I have talked with the Police & they are going to investigate it. I know in my heart these kids did this. I got feedback from my vet that there was some serious trauma. She had broken ribs. With lots of internal injuries. It really hurts still. I cant look anywhere in my house & not see a sign of her. Life is not fair sometimes. She really was my best friend ever. If they can get it outta them I have pressed charges. They deserve some of what they gave my Toyo. Not that it would bring her back, but sure would make me feel better. I am going to let the law deal with them. Its the best thing.

Mike, Niko had nothing to do with this. He was very protective of her. They would play around the house all the time. She would back him off it was so funny.

I really do & am going to get us another.

Thanks for the Prayers, I have asked our lord to get us through this. It has been rough. I know where she is now, so that helps abit. :|

Robert, my cat ran away last year right after christmas because the painter's air compressor scared her when I opened my front door and she ran right out. I didn't think I was ever going to find her and after a week I wanted to get another cat right away so I could try to forget about her running away. But, I didn't think I was through grieving over her loss and I was still hopeful that she might come back. Sure enought, four weeks, later, a neighbor called and said that she could see her and I found her. I'll never understand quite how you feel right now until my cat or dog's lives were wrongly taken from them and me. I hope that if those kids did do it, that they are brought to justice and some kind of therapy is given.

I agree with Roy, don't get another cat yet. Wait a few weeks or so. Let yourself and your family remember her and give yourselves time to mourn her death, then get another kitten. It sounds like the kitten you are looking at anyways won't be ready to go home for another couple of weeks or so anyway. Its always good to get a kitten because they bond with you so fast and you get to see all their clumsy kitten moments. You might want to look at an animal shelter for a kitten as well. All the animals there look so sad that they are there, especially the kitten because they don't know what is going on.

I wish you and your family the best of luck and hope that the killers are found.

    Best of wishes
    Chip
