Thread: Fire Anenome?

    Default Fire Anenome?

LFS here in Houston has what they are calling a Fire Anemone. It is all white, tentacles are not smooth but branched the entire length. I would like to purchase it but learned my lesson about impulse buying. They have no idea about the care since this is the first time they have received these in a shipment. Anyone heard or had one of these before?

Note: All the info that I could find, and I hear the sting packs a helluva whollup.

Lighting: Low to Moderate-Florescent bulbs are recommended.
    Water Flow: Moderate.
Placement: Can be placed anywhere in the tank, but anemones move.
Reef Supplements: Thrives with additions of iodine and trace elements.
    Ease of Keeping: Moderate.
Special Needs: Alkalinity levels-(2.5meq/l or dKH 7-8) Anemones expand more with the use of trace elements and iodine. This anemone may eat fish and even burn your skin.
