    Default Need a mechanic

We just dropped about $1000 on our minivan today, and we need front-end work estimated at about that much more. I'm thinking we may be able to save some money if we don't do it through Gunn...does anyone have a mechanic anywhere near the NE side that they'd recommend? The vehicle we need worked on is a Dodge Grand Caravan.

If you were in Austin I could fix you up. The mechanic in my shop loves doing suspension work, and Im sure he wouldnt mind getting some extra money on the side.

In Austin, Try Tokyo Motors( Ithink Tokyo something). They advertise 1/2 any estimate that you can bring them.

Mike, I don't mind driving to Austin if I can get quality work done and save some money. The vehicle's drivable, so getting it up there isn't a problem. Can you give me some info on this guy?

He does all the mechanical work in the body shop I work in. He is Charlston right now visiting Jim, for a job. PM me what you need done, or what the problem you are having is, and I will talk to him when he gets back to town. I think he will be back Monday, but Im not sure.

Try Woodys garage over in UC address is 118e byrd phone # 210-658-6655. There a good bit more reasonable than Gunn. And a lot faster. Also try Pep Boys on Nacagdoaches, but You will have to be at their doorstep when they open in the morning, or You will be camping out at their store for the rest of the day.
BTW I just had to have work done at gunn and they tried to charge me double. You might want to check in buying one of those aftermarket service plans. May save You a few bucks in the long run.
