New Skimmer

Just received an AquaC Remora skimmer yesterday.Set it up'has been running about 24 hours.The collection cup has about 1/2 inch of green water.I moved the rubber o ring up about half way on the collection cup.Does this sound right?I hear I should be producing sludge not water .Any comments would help

give it a few days to break in and then start adjusting. I pull from somewhere in between. not exactly sludge and not green water but a sludge filled thick liquid.

Thanks for the input.This site is great for helping answer questions from newbies.I have learned so much from reading the posts.Appreciate all the advice.
