Thread: pod population

    Default pod population

my pod population seems quite low the last few months...

ever since I placed my meat-loving royal gamma in there I've seen a marked decrease in the pods as well as stomatella snails.

Do these things gobble up everything? He eats like crazy when I feed.

same happened with my pj cardinals, now pods are few and far between, I think this however gives other life a chance to spread...

Haven't seen to many bristle worms either...

Would a royal gamma or huge brittle star eat those as well?

Also, a semi-large Cowfish inhabits the tank. He's quite friendly to anything, provided it fits in his mouth.

    Awesome fish!

I've had a RoyalGramma for over a year, and brittle starts even longer and have never noticed a change in pod or bristle worm population. You didn't by chance add a UV sterilizer recently have you, that was the only time I noticed a huge change in population.
