DIY Oceanmotions?

Really both a Vendor Review & DIY idea - so I put it in DIY:

Vendor: I have read some posts of folks that bought the "Oceanmotions" device - does anyone have it "In Use" - and can you offer any pros/cons?

DIY: Sems like a few irrigation sprinkler solonoid valves, a pipe manifold, and some type of timer could accomplish basically the same thing as the Oceanmotions device - at a fraction of the cost!

Has anyone used solonoid valves in a saltwater envorinment?

I have the Oceansmotions and I really like it. It works well and I have not had any problems with it. It has been running since early April. I guess you could make something to work like it does, but I doubt it would be as easy and I would thing that the SW environment would prove to be very tough for the parts.

The only drawback to the Oceansmotions is that is requires a great deal of plumbing and that can be a little tedious, but once it is in, it works great.
