What is this stringy crap?

I come home and look in my tank and see this. Anyone know what it is?



This stuff starts at the front center of my tank, and goes around to the back right corner.

Looks like a coral sloughed or expelled some waste.

OH MAN. That must be that dang Sloffas Cloudamorphias that you got from Tim. He's been trying to get rid of that dang thing for months. He tried to pawn it off on me too. I'm glad I didnt take it.

Looks like it might be a mucus net from a vermetid snail. They feed by creating a web and sucking it back in with all the food particles.

it looks like the same thing my torch throws off every once and a while.

What ever it was it was nasty. Plugged up the syphon for a second or two.
