Awana Pets 5 Year Anniversary

Steve at Awana Pets asked me to tell everyone here about there 5 year anniversary sale on the 22 of May. They will have 20% off FW and SW animals, including coral, and a few anemones. Also 10% off dry goods as well.

I went over by there and all of their fish had ick and seemed pretty stressed out, even tough fish like triggers and damsels. They also had done a poor job of separating the fish combining agressive fish with passive fish.

I guess if you get them straight from the bag it's not so bad.

sometimes my mom and i stop by there on wednesdays, when everything is still in the bag, it is all on 25% discount for "customer appreciation day", so they sometimes have good stuff, but i always get things in the bag, if i get it from there. they have a nice looking display though, sometimes they get some rare stuff in, i've seen some very nice stingrays and other stuff go through there, and for very cheap

One word of advice on buying fish on bag days, and this applies to Fintique as well. If you are going to do it, get there as early as possible. The fish need to come out of the bag as soon as possible. They may have already been in a bag for up to 24 hrs. They are already stressed and having them sitting there for several hours in the bag with folks picking them up and rolling the bag around numerous times certainly doesn't help. I know there is a line at the door at Fintique when they open on bag days on Thurs.
