Robert and his wife came by and picked up the little tyke this evening. Thanks for all the kind inquiries from potential adopters - I believe he's going to a good home!

Mike the little guy has a new friend. Has tired himself out. He is going to be great! Picks up on things quick. Our Chewawa is nonstop for him. He has plenty of room to play. Thanks Again!

It would be a good idea to give him "hip and joint" dog biscuits, or some supplemental glucosamine. I say this because this will help with him having hip problems later in his life. FYI you should get his hips x-rayed around 2 years and they should be able to tell you if you will have hip displacia (sp?), to fix the hip problem usually cost around $5k. You should love the dog enough by then that you will not blink a friggin eye at the 5k to fix him(you wouldnt have your kid put down if it needed an enxpensive operation, right). My German shephard has had its hips checked out and everything looked OK. Keep him sort of light weight and this will also help, dont starve the poor thing but just dont let it get porky. If you have any questions pertaining to German shephards in particular please feel free to ask me anything.

Thanks Randy, I will keep this info in mind. He is a great addittion to the family. The bigger dogs are new to me. We will be learning together, he seems to be very playful. He will recieve annual checkups, my other animals hate them but get them. He seems to fit right in.

    Robert -
You may want to check out Banfield Hospitals. They offer a great pet health insurance plan, in addition to having good customer service, very convienent hours, and multiple pet discounts. I can't tell you how happy I am with them... and they have saved me some serious money as well as helping me take excellent care of my furry babies. :-D

Congrats on the new addition to your family!

I would definately have my dog put down before I spent $5K.

Insurance on the animals sounds good, especially when you see a bill like 5k. I'll check it out. Thanks.

Well Tim I would at least try if it were feasable, with no side affects. I Love my animals like a kid.

Toyo Loves me too!! She wont leave me once I get home & settle down.

BTW The dog is doing great!! Thanks Mike.

I know, I probably would too, but it is easier to say you wouldn't when the problem isn't facing me...LOL.... Thank goodness.
