    Default Scallop Placement

Stupid question maybe but, does it matter which side is up? Any other tips.
I picked it up at Topper's Pet Store in Victoria for $12.

He'll let you know!!! If he starts to flip over he might not be too happy, and feed, feed , and
then feed again. These guys are only filter feeders. I will also go ahead and say,
he's gonna move to where ever he wants!!

Put it any place. It will move and most likely be out of sight within a couple hours anyway.

Thanks for the tips. The way the tank is arranged unless it can fly it will have a hard time hiding,
I have had it since monday and can still see it. It attached itself to the side of a rock with a couple
of white strands of "I don't know what".

Cool, it will let go and move ocassionally. Probably every few weeks. When I kept them they always made it to the back of the tank and out of sight. Glad yours can't hide because they are really very beautiful to look at and watch.

Those "white strands" are bysal threads, he must be sorta happy where he is!! But something will
make him wanna walk after a while, they allways do. Keep an eye on him and you might be able to
"trap' him in with a piece of rock or something to keep him where he's at!!
