Default RO/DI filter replacement frequency in austin?

    Hi,

How often do you have to replace the RO membrane and the other stanges including the DI stage if you are using Austin city water (after how many gallons or months)?

The best thing to do is get a TDS meter and check it occasionally. When the TDS starts to come up, its time to change the filter.

Use a TDS meter to make sure your water is good and to make your membranes last longer you may want to shut it off for a few days after a heavy storm. City of Austin spikes the water supply with chloramines after large storms to prevent disease. also you should change your prefilters and carbon filters every few months to make your membranes and DI last longer.
