I had one of those about 3/4 of an inch long, I drew a pic. of him and took
it to AQSS, Mike and Ken were sure it was a type of chitin, he was an
excelent algae eater, and should be left alone.
He seems to be a great eater - figured he was a chitin, but not sure. He is cool to watch. Hangs out near the "cave" in my clam tank.
He 's pretty cool, It's one of those thing you see later on and are glad you have one.
IMO he's pretty neat!!
I'm going to go with chiton. Totally harmless in my experience![]()

The chitons are reproducing like crazy in my 75. I fish a bunch of them out of my overflow occasionally and put them in my main tank.
