More reliable, less hassle, more flow....however....more expensive!!

Possible leakage....
Easier to plumb for a refugium which keeps tank more stable....
I think the biggest plus is the fact that the tank is pre-plumbed for overflows and drains. Which could be a hastle to get right.
I wouldn't consider running a tank that size that's not drilled and plumbed to a sump. Although JimN is a notable exception, most people far prefer to have drilled tanks with internal overflows over running external overflow boxes. I think the Calfo style overflows are especially effective; wish I'd known about them when setting up my 110.
Jim Norris' tank is not drilled??

reef ready tanks have lost real estate due to built in overflows.
not soo much a problem on bigger tanks like 150+ gallons, but on smaller tanks it can be a problem. having your tank setup for a calfo style overflow can drive the price of the tank up quite a bit. reef readytanks are already 1.5~2x the cost of standard tanks.

It's really not difficult or expensive to have a tank drilled and find someone to make an overflow for you. WELL WORTH IT!
