One of my clowns commited suicide and jumped out of the tank. My wife found him laying on the counter behind the tank one morning. He's probably seen "Finding Nemo" one to many times.

malofish, you need a bigger tank!
350 gal. 7\'x36\'\'x25\'\'tall, , 3-400w.mh-10k, 2-6\' vho actinic, 175gal.sump, 6ft. 100gal zenia fuge,calcium reactor, kalk reactor and a carbon reactor. 7\' turbofloter 5000 skimmer.
My tank has a glass top. there is only about 2 inches open in the back, and most of that is taken up by equipment.
The regular red/black bristleworms no, but there are definitley predatory worms we can get in our tanks that can get fish. There is one called a 'dreamweaver' worm that anesthetizes the fish with a web of mucus then consumes it. There are also some nasty worms that can live in sand and rock. Look at pictures of some Eunicid worms they are voracious predators and will eat small fish in a heartbeat. Here's a pic of one of the worms I'm talking about - doubt you have this one just giving you some perspective that there are some predatory worms that can get in our tanks"
another:
Some of the larger pistol shrimp and even a decent size mantis or crab could easily have made a meal of your clowns too. Aside from the usual listening for cracks and pops check the tank at night with a red flashlight and see if you can locate them. Better yet - whatever it is or may be get a small glass jar, lean it against the rocks and put some food at the bottom - you may catch the offending crustacean if thats what it is.
Also in the unlikely event they both died so close together nassarius snails in particular can make short work of a corpse in your tank. If you have an abundance of snails and crabs they along with other scavengers could get rid of the bodies in less than a day for such small fish.
30 Gallon reef, 220 gallon South American Cichlid tank.
Everything I've ever read about predatory worms says that they are EXTREMELY rare in aquariums. I guess it's possible that if there's a mantis shrimp, it got them. Much more likely is that fact that malofish has an overloaded 10 gallon tank, with enough rock so that he can't find the fish? How much room does that leave for water? Maybe 6-7 gallons. Three fish in 6 gallons of water, what do you expect? Sounds like there's a lot of life in that tank for the size.
Sorry to be so negative, especially without seeing your system. After having a nano myself, I know first hand how easy it is to overstock them.
I know that there was a small blue-clawed pistol shrimp in the tank, but I would asume he would've eaten the even smaller yellow clown goby??? And I know that three fish to a ten's too much, but I'm building a stand for my 7bow as we speak! ;-) They were very small a good price and I was trying to get a little excitement in my ten till I got my 54bow finished. (hint-hint dan) I do have a few nassa. snails and alot of bristles, so if they died behind the rock, it's possible that they were eat'n??? but still no clowns, Harry and Loyde will be missed:(
