Wife wants a regal tang to go with our new tank.
Yellow tang is about 4.5 inches big.
Would he/she/it kill a smaller regal?
Tank is 80 gallons with LOTS of live rock & hiding places.
See other thread for pic of tank.

Regals and yellows will do fine together. Since they are different colors and shapes they don't tend to fight, from my experience. I have a regal, and yellow in my corner tank and they were put in at about 3 months apart. The yellow one went in a couple days after it was set up.

You'll be fine with the yellow/regal combo. I have both in my tank. They occasionally chase each other around but nothing that would be live threatening. In the end they will outgrow your tank, so another upgrade will be in you future.

Now in South Korea
Save $2 a day and that's $730 in a year, by that time you'll want a bigger tank anyway.

I have a large Powder Blue and a small regal in a 125 together and have had no problems at all.

I also think the regal/yellow tang combo is OK. I have 3 yellow tangs, 1 purple tang, one sailfin tang and one regal tang and all is well! The regal is a loner while the others all seem to hang out together.

I have both also...my small yellow follows my Regal...no probs at all...
