    Default figureing electrical cost?

Is there a way to figure out how much power a Light will use each month? If you know how many hours a day it will run? I am looking at running the 400W MH. If I can figure out the power it consumes per hour I can figure the cost per month.

    Just thought I would ask.

One 400 watt will run you about $20 per month in electricity from what I have experienced.

I live in Kyle. It it PEC, a coop electric co. I figured the 400W at the S.A. cost and it was just over 9.00 thats not too bad. I know it will be a little cheaper where I live.

It's .05 Cents per Kilowatts here in SM. My total electricity bill for the whole apartment was $33.37 for a 29G reef tank with 175W MH and other MISC stuff running.

Hmmmm. I have a lot of other factors also, airconditioning and so on. I suppose my guess was high, although the window unit was cooling the fish room which was being heated by the halides....LOL...Catch 22.

Yea, it's a real catch 22. Kinda like saying Reef and Budget together. It's a contradiction of terms. LOL
