Default Aqua Medic/Aqualine Buschke CO2 regulator

I recently purchased an AB CO2 regulator for my calcium reactor. This evening I was messing around with it trying to adjust the needle valve and I decided to look at the instructions even though it is not a complicated device. First of, the instructions say the gauges measure in Bars while mine are in PSI. Second, they say that the needle valve has a protective nut over it and it must be removed to adjust the pressure. Even though I was able to adjust the pressure just fine, I decided to unscrew the "protective nut". Forunately I was able to quickly close the valve on the CO2 cylinder as unscrewing the protective nut actually unscrewed the entire needle valve and I had CO2 shooting out right in my face!

Apparently something got lost in the German to English translation! I'm not sure who to complain to as this is a dangerous situation.

LOL, thanks, but there is English on one side and German on the other. After looking closer, the guages I got don't match what's on the instructions or the picture on the box! I sent an email to the online company I got it from so I'll see what they say.

Sounds like you got the wrong instructions for the model regulator you bought.

Actually, the instructions match the box and match what is shown on all websites and catalogs. So I think they either changed the regulator without updating anything else or they somehow put the wrong regulator in the box.

Yes, very dangerous. Not good to go breathing pure CO2. Many places sell it. I got it at Ereeftank.com.

CO2 won't kill you, its CO that kills. Your lungs expell the CO2 right back out if you breath it in there.
