I have actuall been using there setup for 6 months... Got there 2x250 with 2 x Acentic. Using it on my 75 gal reef.. They work really well. Had to modify my hood to get the needed height. Everything is doing great with them..

    Rockman -
Glad to hear you've had a good experience with them. Perhaps this will give everyone another option to look at when they are in need of lighting for their tanks.

i've never ordered thru cool touch on ebay, but the prices on the retros kits are pretty good. i think dual 400 watt ballast/disconnect cords/sockets for $165.00 + shipping isn't bad at all. just buy your bulbs thru hellolights. never mentioned what size tank your trying to light up, but their not much price difference between 175, 250, or 400 watt. get something you won't have to upgrade to at a later date. sooner or later people alsways tend to upgrade their 175 watters unless you have a sm. tank.

Honestly, I just added another 4 bulb PC to the tank. Now I have two fixtures with four bulbs each (65W each). The livestock looks great and responding very well.

I am going to hold off on any lighting orders. Thanks Joshua and all.

If anyone needs halide bulbs and such, Ed at Austin Aquariums has a thread in the Retailers Corner forum going on a order they are going to do with prices listed.
