Hey do you think if I put some nori on my head and took a shower I could grow a new coiff? This could be life changing.

This stuff is green, very leafy and it does attach to the rocks. The leaf I just pulled out is about 6-8 in square. My regal and yellow tangs love it. I don't have any hermit crabs, just snails.

    Matt,
If that works we'll market it and become billionaires.
    Henry,
I'm very perplexed with your description. The dried nori you used-are you sure it was dried nori?, and was it pressed into a square or was it in its natural "leafy" form? I think pictures are indicated. I will wait with child-like anticipation.

Due to lack of camera at this time, this is a link that I found which pretty much matches what I pulled out of my tank. http://seaweed.ucg.ie/cultivation/NoriSummary.shtml

I don't know, but that looks like what a square dried sheet of nori might look like after sitting in your tank a few days. Like I said, I don't know.
    Sorry.

Would be amazing if it's actually growing - not sure if you have ever seen Ulva algae but it looks a lot like nori only a greenish color.

I think it would be very hard to grow nori since most hobbyists don't have the resources to keep seaweed happy, the requirements would be too demanding....

not to mention this stuff is dried and dead. that would make about as much sense as my leftover scrambled eggs turning into chickens
