    I've been doing this for over a year, and I would recommend it. But, I use about 30ml of vinegar per gallon of water; I found with more vinegar I was dropping my tank ph. I've found the vinegar helps boost calcium levels in my tank about 15% over straight KW. One thing the article did not mention (or I missed it) is that this also allows you to safely add more KW to your tank because the ph of the KW is lower. I added about 2 1/2 gallons of KW a day to my 45 gallon reef for over a year, with no ph problem. Now I have a calcium reactor, so I'm not adding KW. But it worked well.
