Default Someone tell me what Python parts I need ...

I really need to get one of these. I am tired of water changes being so difficult. Can someone explain how they work and what parts I need. Thanks

A water bed drain kit and a water hose will do the same thing.

They are available online at some of the places that carry freshwater & saltwater supplies. PetsMart & PetCo carry them as well if you want to go by and see what they look like. Don't buy one there as they are much cheaper online. Of course there are cheaper alternatives as well. I have a sump on my tank and I put an old powerhead in it. When I want to do a water change I just use a 5 gallon bucket and some tubing from an old siphon gravel cleaner. Put one end in the bucket and the other end in the output of the power head and it pumps water out. Dump out the old water and fill the bucket with new water and reverse the power head setup to pump new water back into the sump.

Fintique sells an attachment that fits onto a water faucet and a garden hose (I think there is an attachment for a kitchen faucet), there are two settings, one will draw water out of the tank and the other will put it in. Works well for my freshwater IMHO and would do ok for drawing out water of salt water but for obvious reasons would not work putting waterback in  you'd have to be very careful with saltwater tanks.
