    Default Snails

I had some turbo snails in my tank but they were knocking over my soft corals so I moved them to another fish only tank and got some small bumble bee snails and some other very small snails from Troy Valentine that dig down in to she sand and also climb walls of aquarium, which type of nails are most aquariust using and what are different advantages?

    Hi Stan,

I currently have Astrea, Turbo, Nassarius, and a few unidentified hitchhikers in my tanks. The Astreas and Turbos are mainly algae eaters. Your small snails that dig in the gravel are likely Nassarius. They are great detrivores and often bury themselves in the sand off and on. Cerith snails are also supposed to be great sand stirrers, but I don't have any (yet). Hope this helps.
