MAAST.org IRC Chat Room

We now have our own chat room! :grin:

For those of you who are familiar with the IRC(Internet Relay Chat) environment, you can find our chat room by connecting to irc.xnet.org and joining channel #MAAST.

For the rest of you... The left navigation menu now has a "Chat Room" option which you can visit by clicking here.

When visiting this page, the Java applet will give you a popup message; Click "Yes" to continue.

You'll now have the option of choosing your chat room user name, as well as selecting which chat room you wish to join. If the MAAST.org room is empty, you still have the option of joining the ReefCentral.com or Reefs.org chat rooms.

If you have any problems or questions, feel free to post them here.

I used the chat room the other evening, and chatted with Chris for a while. It works fine. I don't have either of the chat programs that Chris mentioned, so I opened it up as a window in my browser (runs as a java applet), and it worked fine.
