    Will an Elephant Ear Mushroom act as an anemone and eat a fish...i just got home from class and my wife pointed out that are missing a fish and one of the above mentioned mushrooms was alll wrapped up and swollen!!!!!!!! is it possible??

    Yes they can eat slow or stupid fish. I have one in my tank but haven't had this happen yet. Sucks to be that little fishy.

    Are you talking about the mushroom that you traded from me? I forgot that there were two mushrooms on that shell. You can try to seperate them so they have more breathing room. They are pretty slow on closing up. I know b/c I gave up trying to manualy feed it. I put try to put a porcelain crab on it ( that use to live in my bubble tip anemone.) The porcelain walked away b4 the mushroom close up on them.

    Maybe it was already dead when it landed on the mushroom?

    I've seen pictures of one that trapped a bangaii somewhere. I have a few bullseye mushrooms which are very similar, anyone know if they can be predaceous when larger?
