Just wanted to share something that I discussed during our meeting this Sunday which some may or may not see if they miss the meeting minutes.
After two and a half years of being your President, and 4 total years with the Board of Directors, I think it is time for me to pass the torch to another to lead our club.
These next few years I'm going to be attempting to go back to school so that I can provide a better life for my family and hopefully, in the near future, have a place to call our own.
Being a father, husband, full time employee, and now potentially a student, I don't think I will be able to dedicate as much time as this position requires to be the President that our members deserve to have. I'd like to thank everyone who has supported and helped me in presiding over this club, especially our charter members who have invested so heavily into what we have been doing these last few years and hope that we can all remain on good terms.
I have spoken with the Board of Directors and offered my assistance with one last frag swap and hope to work along side our 2018 BOD squad to hopefully provide the best event that MAAST has put on yet!
Thanks everyone for all the good memories, and I hope to be back as an active BOD member within the next few years!
With all that lovey dovey stuff out of the way, I second Ada's nomination of Cheryl Taylor for the 2018 MAAST President.

I accept the nomination. If I am elected I would like to see LMAR continue to grow for our club and the hobby. We have also seen a increase in meeting attendance over the last two years that I have been on the BOD and I would like to see this trend continue. Justin's Hobbyist of the Year award at MACNA brought national attention to MAAST. As a organization we need to build on these successes and add to the legacy that Zach's leadership help create.

Zach we appreciate everything you have done for the club. I would also like thank All BOD for their time and hard work keeping MAAST going. As a former BOD I would like to take this time to invite any and all members to run for a BOD position.

Cheryl is very deserving!
Zack, your efforts and dedication to MAAST have been exemplary and I cannot express how your enthusiasm and appreciation for the hobby has benefitted so many. Many people don’t realize the amount of work that is involved. You’ve been a great leader and passing the torch is so understandable. Dedicate the energy you have placed into your family and I have NO doubt you will be a superior father!
Enjoy your family my friend and God’s Speed.

I concur with Justin’s nomination for VP, but should he pass... I would offer Brandon Skidmore as an alternate selection as VP

Man, I would like to also second Brandon's nomination for VP if we will accept. I do not mind stepping down but still assisting the BOD as a non officer. Should Brandon not want the VP position, I will of course keep my current condition and help the club out. Either way, I will still be on the BOD to help with the transition to a new BOD smooth.

I'm not sure if Brandon is eligible, we will need to check the bylaws but I believe you have to have served on the BOD for at least 1 year. If he is not eligible, than I will accept my nod as VP.
