Another newbie question guys. I think my wrasse has ich. I see the standard white spots, but only under certain light. The fish is otherwise very active and eating well. Other fish seem unaffected. I read up on the whole ich life cycle. I can't dose copper because of inverts. I don't have a QT setup. I have seen a lot of opinions on this, but am favoring just letting it go and see if it self corrects. All of my livestock seems healthy and happy and I have read several sources who say to not over react and let it go through its cycle and see if it recurs. I don't have the time or expertise to try temp swings or hyoposalinity as some other folks suggest.

Thoughts from veterans? Thanks.

Just an update folks. I did not get any responses to this. It think it is one of those topics that veteran hobbyists may avoid as the protocols out there are so divisive.

Just 48 hours later and the wrasse shows no signs of ich. Spots are gone. Now I know this is misleading and the ich cycle still continues, but what I have done is increase feeding. I typically feed very lightly in such a small tank and have not seen any food aggressive behavior. But, one thing that is commonly accepted is that good feeding reduces stress and results in better immunity for fish (assuming water params are being maintained). So I have doubled feeding over the last 48 hours.

Whether this helped or not is anybody's guess.
