OrionN

You need to get the address of the picture file then put ]img]..address of the file..]/img]
of course the first brackets around both IMG and /IMG have to have correct orientation

This wrasse species may be very aggressive toward other Fairy and Flasher wrasses. I hope I can keep him in my 320 gal later on. His color is exceptional and it seem he is more colorful now that he settle in my 65 gal a bit.

Got this guy yesterday. He is in my QT system. Look like he may not need treatment. Sorry the picture is under actinic. When the full light come on later, will take more picture. Under poor light he looks like he is having light purple color. Very stressed but seem fairly healthy for new imported. He is mostly bleached but still have patches of color. If I can stabilize him, he will recover very quickly. I just cannot resist saveable Gigantea Anemone. Once I have him healthy, I will have to try to sell him because I really don't have the room for him in my various systems.

I love Gigantea that is for sure.
I see this Gigantea at Petco, I thinking that I can keep him a live. Can't help but really want to get him.
Picture today. Exceptional feeding response. He was able to capture Mysis and eat them despise the clowns trying to take these Mysis from him. This is extremely good prognosis factor. Here he is, able to catch multiple Mysis without me intentional squirt Mysis to him. I was not feeding him but the PH just blew them into him. His mouth is open to eat the Mysis.

OrionN

They eat everything right out the bag, but eating more aggressive now than at first which is normal for all fish. I got them the day of arrival to the LFS (Petco for the Carpenter and GC Reef for the yellow-Fin), mixed flakes and frozen Mysis. Both are in my 40 gal QT. Display a lot but no biting so far.

OrionN

It coming along great. I will post a picture later.
Regarding multiple wrashes, if your tank is big enough for the numbers of wrasses you want, and you choose wisely by not getting the mean ones they will be fine.
I am having 20+ wrasses in my 320. So far no problem.

Wow, 320 offers a lot of swim room. I have a 135 and I think I'm at my cap on fish in comparison to rock work. I had less rock before but my scape looked too open for me and I didn't have enough room for sticks. Everyone has plenty of caves, and overhangs to make them happy and safe.

My Bluethroat Fairy. I bought him from Petco in Corpus Christi. He was in the store for several month, color all faded but regain his health quickly. Very nice and bold fish, on the aggressive side with other Fairy wrasses, but my tank is big with a lot of other wrasses. I would give it second though if anybody want to keep him in a smallish tank with other Fairy and Flasher wrasses.

This one you have to excuse my dirty glass because I do not clean it very often. This tank is in my storage room so nobody sees it but me but I am still hoping/crossing my fingers these two will pair. I have had the smaller Blueface over a year, bought as a small juvenile. The adult was added with her in a 100 gallon Rubbermaid tub in February. When they where introduced the smaller one went from blue to ugly brown sub-adult colors in a matter of weeks. Now she is getting her beautiful colors with no aggression from the larger male in a 180 that I picked up from Fishstix. This tank is a hodge podge of used items including the lighting which will be fixed on Friday with two more Mars Aqua lights and me adding a ton of GSP to help filter the tank.

This one was 25 as an assorted wrasse from Petco. There are wrasses that are even quite a bit higher than 500.00. The bad thing about wrasse is that they are not long live fish from what I read. 5-7 years in our tank only. The Max size for this species per Fishbase is 6 cm, mine is considerable larger than that at 3.5 inches or almost 9 cm. This is a new species, jut got it's name last year. The newest named Fairy wrase: Cirrhilabrus cyanogularis.
