2016 Board of Director Nominations

Its that time of year again for us to choose the next term's Board of Directors for 2016.

It is open to those that are current Charter members in good standing & who want to help MAAST grow and excel. Listed below are the current BOD members and their director positions that are up for re-election/election (there a total of 6 openings). Please nominate yourself or anyone else that you feel MAAST will benefit from their talents.

Members may nominate any charter member, themselves included that they feel worthy for the position.
It is requested that the nominee submit a post that he/she accepts as well as submit a small bio explaining why they would like to join the BOD and what special qualities they have that can be beneficial to the club.

We will close this thread on Wednesday December 2nd so that the election polls can begin shortly there after..

ARTICLE V – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Section 1. Membership of the Board of Directors:

Paragraph 1: The Board of Directors of the organization shall consist of:

1. President
2. Vice-President
3. No less than four, or more than 10 Directors elected at large from the organization membership.

**This will need to be updated in the Bylaws to read as follows:**

**For a total of (12) Members on the Board of Directors to include President and Vice President**

I'd like to nominate Rick and Paul. Paul has been a long time board member and has been a judge for several coral growth contests and his participation and knowledge in those have been invaluable. Rick has attended almost every meeting this year and has volunteered for many a tank move as well as been a great help to the BOD when an extra set of hands is needed at a meeting.

Bump, Come on everyone. This thread is pretty important for the group. We absolutely need to get these nominations going so that we can get the voting taken care of for next year's board of directors.
