Okay I thought this was a pretty good, but then I am hearing it may not be? Please post your experience and thanks in advance
FYI if I get one it would be the Photon 24 on a 40 gallon breeder.

I love mine Alton. I have a 24 on a 40B and a 48 over my 105. I have them turned WAY down too. I bought the 24 first for my frag tank and liked it so much I went with one over my display as well.
Any specific questions you have?

I run 3 values over my 6 ft fragtank. I love mine. I'm going to bump up to the superlux because of the wider spread

Ships to my office, I have been playing this game for 31 years. It makes our marriage fun. We go on a cruise next month, I will tell her right before we leave.

Did you get the 24? Is this for your office tank or at home?

Yes on the 24, and the tank is a 40 Breeder at home for frag tank. Office tank has a BML 20K

What optics did you go with? I "chose" 120 on my 24 which ultimately means none. My 48 has optics, don't recall which ones. 90 maybe?

I did not specify which optics, I am guessing it will come standard with 90?
FYI I got punished for my comments yesterday, I took my car to San Marcos to pick up a tank and it would not fit. So 8 o'clock last night my wife and I drove back to San Marcos to pick it up in my truck.

Well the wife's MOJO struck again! FEDEX lost the light, they believe its in San Antonio, just not sure where? Also they say they have 2 weeks before claiming it is lost. So either they find it or it will be three weeks before getting a Photon 24 light

Did they find your light Alton?
I've had both carriers lose my packages. Oddly enough that stopped when I put up surveillance cameras.

Yes, they delivered it 3 days later. It seems the FedEx Home is sub contractors open Tuesday thru Saturday and communication between the regular office and them gets lost sometimes. FedEx did do a great job of calling me and letting me know what was going on which was nice. The dumbest part was when FedEx thought they lost it I had Logan send out another this time to my home, the driver said he could not find my home and listed it as undeliverable! So I had it redirected to the Selma office, where I then sent it back since I did not need it since receiving the first. The light looks good, I am running it at 65% and getting a PAR reading of 200 to 220 on the bottom and where the corals are. Logan is a stand up guy, excellent at returning emails and keeping in touch. It was his idea to offer up a return ticket for the second light since the first one was found.

Does yours have the external optics on it? Are you running both channels at 65%?

I am not sure about the external optics? I didn't order or ask for any changes to the lenses so it is stock. Yes for three hours I run both channels at 65% ramping up and down before and after. I am thinking I may remove the optics/lenses and see what my spread will be like? Right now I will have to keep lower light corals on the edges. I have several test frags in the tank right now to see how they do.

The lenses are what I am talking about. My 24 doesn't have them but my 48 does. Was curious if that's how they come or my 24 just came without them. My 24 that I do not have lenses are at 80/50. Blues are on full for 8 hours and whites for 5. Also ramping before/after. My 48 with lenses I run the whites much lower, like 20, blues are at maybe 60.
