So I am getting a new 4' sump for my 300 and was looking for some input as to what to put in it.

It has 2 7" socks in the first sock chamber,
a 14x19 skimmer chamber, a 14x19 refugium chamber, and a 8x19 return pump chamber.

Currently I have a skimz external skimmer, biopellet reactor, carbon reactor, 2 pumps (1 for the return and 1 for all the equipment )

Since the skimmer is external I was planning on running it that way, which leaves me with an empty chamber, so I thought about 4 options, what do Yall think?

A) doing 2 fuges, 1 with mineral mud and mangroves, the other bare bottom with cheato.
B) a xenia or Kenya tree fuge, followed by cheato.
C) a frag section, and a standard cheato fuge.
D) just use the empty chamber to house the reactors in case of a leak?

Option C. I love mine in my sump. It comes in really handy if you break stuff up top moving things around.

I would say C or D. Having a frag rack hidden away from the display is always nice. Also piece of mind of having a reactor leak into that chamber would be nice as well.

Well, I'm not a fan of external skimmers and reactors...just a personal aversion to potential leaks. However, if you're going to do that for sure, I'd definitely go with the frag section in the sump.

I would do a frag section. That's what I plan on doing. Throw an AI prime in there.
