Scrape corraline off the glass or it will take over And you won't be able to see in. It will start to cover all your rock in time. Don't worry about that. It's a good sign to get it. My algae blooms usually go: brown- diatoms, green- usually a hair/turf version and then coralline.

Ok will do.. i didn't want to wipe it off and it not grow back, i like the way it looks

Also as just a helpful tip. Alkalinity testing is something you want to add to your routine maintenance if you haven't already. Coralline Algae will reduce alkalinity. Of course it's ratio based but make sure you are testing it, especially when you have a significant amount of coralline growth.

The purple stuff is the first indicator that things are going really well with your tank. It means that the algae has enough to spread and color up, usually means that sps will do really well for you. If its a big problem, a small pencil urchin or tuxedo urchin will help keep the stuff in check. Be careful though, my pencil is a bull in a china shop for frags that are not securely put in place.

Great tips!! Doing test now gonna do like a 10% water change, just got all my RO and salt.. i wanna do SPS a bunch of them.. but im sumpless
