So I'm in nasty snowing Detroit this week. There is a reef store that looks pretty good called Tropicorium that I want to visit on Friday.

I brought a Thermos and a soft side insulated lunchbox and im thinking I can put a few frags in there with a heat pad into my checked luggage.....do y'all think I'll be OK regarding temperature? They'd only be in there maybe 5 hours.

Let me know if tall think I'll be OK...I think I will but I'm always looking for other opinions.

I remember the old days of carrying my thermos to work and although the out side was 100 degrees the tea was still cold, you should be fine

So long as they treat your luggage alright and the doesn't get stuck on the tarmac you should be fine. Of course, last time I was in Detroit I got stuck for a few days, we were stuck on the plane for 3 hours on the tarmac and it was -35* outside. So hopefully that doesn't happen to you!

I imagine they fly cargo in worse conditions than that. I would think they should be fine.

just make sure they are double bagged. and no liquid can leak out at any time.
