If these came in all black, I think it'd be awesome to install one vertically on each side of my overflow to help with flow in the back of the aquarium.

I wouldn't mind having one in the back corner for more directed flow behind my rock work to keep it cleaned out but like you said, too obtrusive. It needs to be black at the very least.

Very interesting. I wonder if it will be "accepted" by the Reefing community. It's a interesting design.

I really like the idea. There's a lot of stuff about laminar flow (gyre) that suggests it's the most efficient and best for corals. Even with them being somewhat of an eyesore, it's not any worse than a big Koralia PH IMO. I'd like to get one or two if the price is right. I'm hoping they don't cost an arm and a leg.
