As many know, the frag program is going to be restarting here shortly. Tonight, I will be removing old posts/corals, and as soon as I figure out how to change the forum name, the program will be back up. There will be a few changes to the old setup. Most memorable are:

Corals will now be listed by type of coral rather than rarity. The four categories will be:

Inverts/Macro/Softie
Zoa/Paly
LPS
SPS

The info blurb about each coral will read as follows: these were created by Mr. Cob and edited by myself to add new changes in lighting, and coral morph name.

Name:
Coral Name
Please use the name the individual who sold it to you used:

Current Lighting:
What kind of lighting is your coral under and at what depth? Also, please describe your lighting cycle.

Flow:
What kind of flow is it getting?

Coral Details:
Describe your coral and any feeding habbits it may have at the moment if any. Size, coral etc...

(Picture of Coral)

Since corals will now be separated by type, there will be a maximum of 3 of each color morph in each thread. Members may only donate one frag of each morph until it is taken.

This will be represented by a fraction after the coral morph.

I.E.:

Forum- Zoa/Paly Morph- Spiderman 2/3

This would mean two members have donated two separate spider man frags and 2 are available. A third member may donate a frag of spider mans, at which point this would be 3/3. This is to prevent flooding of a particular morph.

Adoptions can be done at all levels, and trading is now a charter member privilege

I will be checking and updating availability twice daily, in the AM and PM on weekdays and in the PM on the weekends. If I have missed your availability, please let me know, and please let me know when a coral is adopted. In order to be eligible to donate, you must have donated a frag.

Remember, the point of the program is to provide adoptees with healthy, pest free frags. Please do not post fresh cut frags.

Please bear with us, as this is a redesigned program.

Glad to see this getting started again. I like that the frags will be grouped by types versus rarity.

I know it's a lot of work trying to keep up with it and I'm sure you can stay committed to it but putting the pressure on yourself to update 5 days a week in the am/pm and 2 days in the pm might get a little taxing.

Why not just leave out the part of when you will update and maybe get a few volunteers to help so that it's not all on you? Just a thought. Pretty much all of us that ran this program got burned out at some point. This will be the third time it has been revamped since Ace started it a few years back...and everyone including me got burned out on it. Though each time the program was improved a lot and from your post above it looks like this will be another improvement but the maintenance factor is still there. Until we actually get a program/database to automatically do all of the updating for us I think there should be more than one person assisting in the updates.

Just my thoughts. Thanks for volunteering dude, this is a great way for the club to promote responsible propagating of our coral.

I didn't know it was down. I just thought nobody was trading. Do we still have credit for the things we gave away before?

Hey jack, if you had a frag that was not adopted if you could repost it then yes it would make you eligible again.

I sent Robert the new forum names yesterday so when they are updated everything should be good to go.

I think Jack was due/eligible a frag in one of the categories, but nobody was posting up anything for him to collect on. Correct me if I'm wrong...

I can't open any of the frag exchange threads. Is it my account or is this section of the site not working?

I need to go in and up date mine. Some are no longer in existence. Surprised no one uses the program.
