also, theres some weird algae thing growing off to the left of the coral... it seems to be growing too.

Not sure what that white spot is but that red thing is red slime algae which isn't even an algae. It is Cyanobacteria. Siphon it out and watch your feeding and put more flow to that area

theres nothing near it that can sting, but there was a little blue hermit crab munching on and around. honestly, those little crabs get on my nerves. they are a **** nuisance. i have to tell my self daily that they are a positive thing for the tank...
