I just replaced all my containers, ro membrane and fresh Di. Getting 9-12 ppm at the faucet and 5-9 from the DI. I'm very confused on why these numbers aren't lower.

Tap water is 209 ppm using a digital tds meter.

Running a BRS drinking and reef system unit. 75gpd

Sediment filter new
5 micron CTO/2 carbon block new
0.6 micron +1 carbon block new
RO membrane New
Di new and packed tight.
Running 2 chlorine taste and odor reduction canisters, both not new.

Not sure my pressure coming in.

Did you fully flush all new filters and membrane according to directions?

I'm hoping they'd be flushed by now. I've ran Atleast 15 gallons thought all them. Maybe I was supposed to do something different ? I drained the tank. Closed it up, ran the system through the new media for about 5 gallons and another 10-15 later these are my numbers. Ran about 5-10 through DI resin too. Nothing below 5.

Is your TDS meter calibrated?

my reading from my ro is 15 and di is 3. Although it would be nice to be 0.
I only got 0 right after a new di change. I seem to be going through di a little faster, it seems to settle at 3.

When I first run the water through it does have a higher reading and settles on 3.

How long do you run it before testing? Your reading before ro and di is in the teens, thats ok.
It would be nice to be lower. DI should handle the rest. How new is new on the DI?
If its not sealed correctly (when storing) the DI can go bad, i think. just an fyi

All the new things I changed are no older then a week. Bought at either elegant reef or home depot. My do will start with saying 5 then when I test it again when bucket is full it says 9-11

Thats weird...

Ya i would make sure the tds meter is calibrated.

I have all inline meters and get 3-5 at faucet and 0 after di... This is with the filters a few months old, i replace all when tds out of di reaches 1. That stuff never makes its way into my display..

Is it the color changing resin? If so, is it all light brown now?

Yea it's the color change. It's a bluish black with the very bottom sliver a light brownish color

Should be installed rubber gasket/seal/washer end up. If in doubt - look on the wall of the cartridge - it typically has an arrow or a "this end up" indicator.

Mine ran about 3 after DI with new filters all around also. It was only like the first time after filter change. Tap water runs about 320 at faucet (liquid rocks). I bought a second DI canister from A.W.I. with 5 lbs. of refillable DI now I am running 0 after both DI all the time.

Shouldnt tds be 0 after the 1st di resin?

Adding a second is covering up another problem...
