So ya another question regarding Kalk. This ones quick. I already know that the ATO pump needs to be above the junk at the bottom. My question is. To limit a lot of the build up on the bottom of the ATO container can I mix the kalk solution in one container then just poor the clear liquid into my ATO container? Or does the stuff that settles to the bottom actually have a benift?

Yes, you can. There's a max limit to the saturation (unless you as vinegar). It's something like 2 tsps per gallon. After that saturates, any left over won't do you any good.

I just add to my ato container and remix it, let Let settle for a few hours and let her go.

the best way to dose kalk is through a kalk reactor, it comes out super saturated as no air gets to the mix

Let say you have a manual top off. Meaning I flip a switch twice a day to activate a pump. Could I dose kalk?

I would think so as long as your not having to leave the pump on for to long becuase of a lot of evaporation. I think the problem would come from adding to much water with kalk in it at one time. With the ATO you dose small amounts throughout the day.

I was thinking the same thing too Mitchell. I think I will wait til I get a ato. Just due to the fact that sometimes I forget and have to run about three gallons of topoff water I believe that would be too much kalk water

I think so. I need one more float switch then I'm ready to hook mine up.
