Okay folks...this will be my first thread for doing a tank. I currently have a 14 gallon biocube retro fitted with Ecoxotic LED's. 2 Panorama Pro's 50/50, 1 Magenta/Actinic along with 1 Royal Blue stunner strip in the front and 1 Actinic stunner in the rear. I modified the filter with a the inTank Media basket that has Filter pad and phosphate pad, Purgien, and ChemPure Elite. I also incorporated the biocube protien skimmer and Cobalt UV clerifier and a Rio pump. The tank is fully stocked and things are growing steadly thus the reason for a larger tank. Granted room is tight and so is money but....you do what yah love, right? Either or...I have been thinking for the past month what to use. So far...here is what i have in mind...

Note: SPS tank moslty

Tank- 45 gallon Marineland Cube (24x24x18) Drilled with Glass-Holes 300gph
Stand- Custom
Sump- Custom (21x18x16)
ATO- Buit into custom sump using SMART ATO
Skimmer- Reef Octopus NWB110 4"
Pump- Ehiem 1262 (I know its overkill but with flow valve i will control bot intake and output)
Lights- Reef Breeder Nova A4 90degree Optical
Powerheads- Jeboa WP10's

I might put in a GFO and split it with the return...granted i have enough push from the 1262 pump.

What do yall think? Please let me know what yah think or if I need to make some other modifications...I'll shoot some pics of current setup...

I wouldn't restrict the intake of the 1262. Any pump can capitate due to this and cause premature failure. You can restrict the output though. Very common. You might also consider building a manifold for future additions. Even if you are simply bypassing water back into the sump. Manifolds will leave you with many options down the road.

Its funny...To have more in the tank regarding mods than the actual value of the tank....lol

Sweet!...I got the tank and my custom stand today...well technically yesterday but I didn't get the chance to update my thread. So a HUGE SHOUT OUT goes to JJ at Zypher Aqutics...let me tell you what, this man really took care of me regarding this build. I will say this much...right now the tank came in with scratches on the inside which made me erked to say the least. But rather than bug JJ I merely asked...is there a way I can buffer the scratches....rather than feed me BS he straight up said..."Look, I know you want this build to be epic so tell you what...I will order a new tank, re-drill it, and wrap it...no charge buddy. You are the paying customer". I was like nah buddy, I don't want to put you through the hassle but JJ insisted...Customer service can't be beat. Neither can his prices...many of my frags are from him. Furthermore, the stand is absolutely AWESOME!!! JJ had his buddy custom build this stand to my specs...of course with some modifications but just right!! I will stain the stand myself and upload some pics later...but this stand..folks, JJ didn't want to let it go! LOL

The side pop right off for easy access to the future sump and run flush with the frame. The front door swings open and locks flush with the frame...The back is half open for overflow and splash guard...well in my head anyway. I will be making some brackets for future equipment as well.
