My humble reef !!!! Coming soon

Today I am very excited I am suppose to receive some goodies in mail. I am sure they r already at the house !! Can't wait to go home and open the boxes and hide some of the invoices because if my wife's sees em I am going to a dead man !!!

Anyways below is some of the details of my build. It will be few weeks from now till I actually get to start putting em all in use as now I am still ordering stuff slow by slow and my move out is not until on 23rd of this month !!!!! Till than I hve all the time to gather all the equipment I need .

Tank
Custom build by planet aquarium
30x24x18 all low iron clear glass
With external over flow ( already have it)
Thanks to Louis @ elegant reef for ordering this for me

Stand is getting build by one our sponsor MR COB CORALS ( will hve This weekend )

Sump is also custom done by ROB

Return
Sicce 2 ( got it today )

Power heads
2x tunze 6095 ( already ordered )
Controlled by 7096

Skimmer still debating
bubble king or maybe vertex alpha 170 sitting in my garage was trying to sell it but found out missing a part and now need to locate it before I sell or I might use it )

Ghl four channel doser ( got it today)

Big boy controller GHL ultimate pack with all the jings and Bell ph temp conductivity redox with touch screen controll panel ( on its way )

Lights
ATI hybrid powermodule 8 bulb unit .
( on it way )

Some chemicals
Test kits
Already ordered

I also need thoughts on going bare bottom. However I did place an order on eBay and had a marine safe starboard cut for my tank as to go bare bottom and now having second thoughts about shallow sand bed .

Pretty much that's all I can think of now
Also it will be a minimum aquascaping in this tank . may be two islands style pukani rock with flat base no more than 5 lbs each.

I 'll post some pics of stuff as I receive em
Thanks
Can't wait to get this thing wet

I also considered bare bottom or starboard. Went with a thin sand covering instead - and i think I like it.

I am confuse what to do . I been thinking back and forth and might do both.
Starboard is cut for the size 24x20 which leaves around 3" of space on all sides . I might use a layer of 1/2" sand all the starboard . I am not keeping any wrasses or starfish . Few crabs as clean up crews that's it. System will be Sps only glued to the rocks . Not really planning to keep anything on the bottom

One of the reasons I decided NOT to go with starboard is that I didn't want "stuff" trapped under it.

So, are you putting rock down on the glass? That makes me nervous. I'm considering putting just enough starboard down to keep the rock from direct contact with the bottom.

I am only going to put 2 flat pieces of rock and they 'll be on starboard . No pulling up rocks on top each other or any thing .

Custom ATO reservoir built by Tiuan . Awesome quality and right what I wanted. Fits right behind my tank 15" x3"x 20" holds roughly about 4 gln . Using with tunze osmolater . Two holes in the back for electric wiring and return and front lid with hinge to refill fresh water

I was just about to suggest that. I'm looking forward to the Swamp myself. Need to restock my 100 gallon. I'm bummed that I heard Jason Fox will not be there. I was really looking forward to getting a replacement Terra Del Fuego and possibly a Jack O' Lantern from him.
