I can't tell from the picture, but I'm guessing sponge? If so, they're good.

It appears to be a form of sponge.

2 months, but everything except sand came from an 8 month old 55gal, 20 gal sump, switched it over and added 35 galons to the display and 15 to the new sump

I see. U may or may not have a "boom" of those pineapple sponges in ur main tank. They will pop up and slowly disappear.

Ive seen little white puffy thingys growing under overhangs I guess thats them
