i have macro algae, LR, a light, bio balls and a filter pad... i also have a HOB filter that has macro algae as well, but for some reason my tank doesnt appear to be as clean....

its clear but with small particles constantly floating around. just doesnt seem crystal to clear...

A filter sock a filter media pad will trap the micro particles.

X2 tank got crystal clear when added carbon reactor.

if you're ghetto, take a bottle that fits the intake, cut off the bottom and stuff it with filter floss, then a layer of carbon, then another layer of filter floss. The bottle doesn't have to be clear, but it sure helps you see when the filter needs to be changed.

oh, quick question... can copepods still get through the layers? what exactly is carbon? heh...
