Lol been saying I was going to do it forever, well today was the day!...

Garage side

Tank side
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/01/upubybad.jpg

Nothing fancy, and Im not done on the tank side.. But it will make my job a little easier....

I will siphon like before and let it run out the garage and down the drive way then will pump freshly mixed salt water back into the over flow..

Hoping it works lol

Nice!

Man, I've done two water changes since moving my sump into the garage and both times I was wondering why I didn't do it earlier. It took a 30-45 minute process to 5 minutes and a lot less work.

You're not a true reefer if you don't have at least one hole in the wall..oh yeah honey , that hole was there when we bought the house.

Lol she got home yesterday and saw dust from the sheet rock on the floor and asked "what happened?"

I asked her to follow me and she mumbled "oh great".... She loved it lol she even asked "are you serious".. Rolled her eyes and went to her room.....

My aquarium spans four rooms. It's double sided in the living room and wet bar, Salt water mixing stuff and remnant lighting ballasts are in laundry room. And pipes go through the laundry room to the garage to feed the chiller. I'm not shy about poking holes in walls.

Its very basic, but i no longer have to pick up buckets or spill water on my living room floor.... Took literally 5 minute to change my water.... I am very pleased....

What about the sandbed?

Pfffft..

2 mp40s and a sicce 4 return....

I never have to touch the sand bed..

Seriously, i havent had to touch my sand bed since owning 2 40s.... nTM mode works well for keeping stuff off the sand bed without rocking the tank like theres a typhoon...

When I first saw this I thought it was something you did with your car. It turns out neither your car nor your tank crashed. :)

Same way for my friend. Nice house but could not fit skimmer under or near tank with out looking ugly. One month of me teasing of cutting the wall out for access he punched a hole through the wall for the skimmer. It was the thought and wife permission that took the longest. In the end they both were happy.

Auto shut off waste collector. I just bought one made by reef octopus. I had that exact problem with my setup this past weekend. My friend getting one to cause his overflowed once.

That's what I was thinking having one sump in the garage and the other in the closet lol it may take a lil while for him to come around since we have spent all week and weekend moving in to our new home he isn't ready to drill a hole in the wall since we haven't made the first payment yet haha
