I'm testing around 380. I've done the test twice using a salifert test kit and reef crystals. Any run into the same problems? Or any advice

Positive. My calcium test is API. That and every bottle says Mg on it

How often are you changing your water? Most mg problems are avoided with regular water changes. If your system isn't too large I'd recommend a 50% water change to correct your problem.

I do water changes weekly currently. I found the problem. One of the pieces.. The dropper was letting out a bigger drop at a time from not being sealed properly. I reseated it and got a better answer, still low, but not crazy. It's about 1260. I'm going to start dosing with brs 2 part and mag

That sounds more accurate. I'd try to get it up to about 1350-1400ppm. I use BRS 2-part, but will be moving to Tech-M for mag supplementing after I'm out.

That's good news Stephen. I always tell folks to re-test with another kit before doing something drastic.

appreciate it! I decided to check source saltwater and tank again and paid closer attention and found the problem. I have BRS 2 part coming in soon. Been using kent tech-m without much results.
