Ok, I have not had my tank up even a week, and I have already had to top off 10 gallons of water. 5 gallons 2 days ago, and 5 gallons today. I dont think its a leak, since I am not seeing any apparent wet spots anywhere around the tank or stand. Its on carpet, so I think a 10 gallon leak I would notice.

Is this normal though, having 10 gallons of water evaporate in a matter of one week? Seems very excessive to me. I know when I had the 55 gallon up I top off about 5 gallons a month.

I topoff 2-3 gallons a day on my system. If you have any fans blowing on the surface, that will increase evaporation, as well as the type of lighting you run.

My fan only comes on when the tank hits 79.5°. I don't think it's been on much this week.

It's normal, especially during the dry winter air and using central heat. On the plus side, it helps keeps your house humidified.

Yeah I am usually under 40g evaporated a week. When I had the turf scrubber up and running it was more but now I don't have it I would say 20-30 gallons/week depending on heat and what not.
