Purple Tang for sale.

I'm going to be breaking down my tank soon and need to find a new home for my tangs. The Naso is approx 6.5-7". The purple is 4-4.5".

Using a fish trap is an easy way.

I've got a fish trap. The Naso eats from my hand. He won't be a problem. The purple is much more wary, however.

The best fish come out of a healthy established tank. I would rather take one from someone's tank that's been in there a while and healthy.

Agreed! The Naso I got from Ben this weekend is in great health and eats well. I would have never been able to find a Naso, or any other species, in this condition in a store.
For anyone else interested in the Purple Tang, it is a very healthy looking specimen.

This is the best advice when it comes to buying most anything in this hobby. Whether you are talking about fish or coral.

Not that buying from a store is a bad idea, i mean thats where they came from before our tank....

But yes, the risk is greater.

And with the amount some purples are at the LFS, what Ben is asking or has been offered is a bargin for a healthy specimen.
