I'm going to be in town this weekend & hope to have time to visit a few stores. Any recommendations? Mainly looking for higher end corals, but also love to visit the small cheaper places too.

See the thread titled "250 Gallon Reef", and go visit Ace. You won't be disappointed.

I certainly would recommend Elegant Reef. I was by Aquarium Designs last week, and it's been a few years. Store looked great.

Check out Mr Cobbs corals in his thread in Sponsors also. He has some nice high end pieces for sale.

"STORES"

I would say elegant reef and another cool place to see would be aquarium adventure, they are pricey in some stuff but still a cool shop to stop by and "look" if you havent seen it before...

Yeah, thx for clarifying Tony. Always looking out.

Yes, I'm not a brick and mortar. I would also suggest visiting Zephyr Aquatics which surprised no one has mentioned them yet, the new owner has brought in some amazing pieces at awesome prices recently. Lots of designer stuff that you might not find elsewhere.

Don't forget about Polly's! Two locations too...or is it 3 now?

All of the shops in town have different things to offer and it wouldn't hurt to plan your day out based on locations. I think we have a list/map somewhere. I'm on my phone right now so can't look for it.

Have fun.

JOTS, not sure if he will be out of your way or not though. He always has nice stuff at good prices as well.

Do you have an address for JOTS? Can't seem to find one anywhere.

Thanks!

We had a great time. I managed to check out every store except Polly's. The only thing I found that I couldn't live without was a couple black snowflake clowns from Aquarium Designs. They made the trip home & are doing great.

For corals, I would definitely say Elegant Reef. Coral Cove also has some good corals, and the price is very fair. There are also to others you should check into, not really a store, but they both have good selections. Mr Cobs Corals and Jewels of the Sea.

Sorry I cant really comment on the other locations since I have not seen them.
