Oh, no. Sprung the big bucks for fluorescent. Ever since working in a LFS in the 60s and 70s, I knew better.

It's crazy how much the hobby has changed since then. I saw a pic a guy posted of his tank in the early 80's and the decor was all dead bleached coral. He even said it was a big deal to take the coral out every once and a while and re-bleach it. Back then though, that was a primo SW tank, much like yours. I remember as a kid it was a huge and impressive feat just having a saltwater tank at all. :) I'm not sure I would have gotten into this hobby if inverts were pretty much out of the question.

It was an odd size. 41 gallons. I still have the odd sized iron stand. It's a 55 but cut down to 3 feet.
