Stumbled across this on another site. I had not heard of it before. It caught my attention because it has a built in PAR, LUX, and 'Kelvin' meter. Supposedly has spectral analysis as well. It's fairly cheap and IMO doesn't appear to be a substitute for a full-blown reef controller (I don't see any outlet control for starters, although it may have it). I don't like that it appears to house the sensors in the body of the controller (who want's to leave that in the water all the time, especially their DT if they are measuring light). Lastly, the concept of 'slides' confuses me. From what I can tell, that's a subscription to their site monitoring service, but I honestly have not figured it out yet.

Seneye Reef measurement range
free ammonia (NH3) * (0 – 0,500ppm)
pH * (6,5 – 9,0)
temperature (0C – 40C)
waterlevel (senses if it is in/out of water)
LUX (lx) (0 – 150.000)
photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) (0 – 2.000)
Kelvin (K) ( 2.000K – 20.000K)
* require consumable slides which last 1 month each. seneye+ service includes shipment of slides to your house. The reason for the consumable slides is to eliminate the need for calibration.

So I guess the slides are for calibration. Still unsure HOW, but okay....

I have this, the slides have the built in tests for ammonia, ph. it's tests water every 30 mins. I had it for sale once because it's not Mac compatible, but I ended up buying a PC just for it. so my reef tank now had it's own computer. lol. it works great!

I actually saw your for sale post (because I searched the site for it).
If you don't mind, I have a few questions.
-Are there controllable outlets?
-Does the pendant have to be in the water (or at all? Not sure if that was a waterproof test or not) for all the tests?
-What do you think of the lighting meters? PAR, LUX, and spectral analysis.

-not a controller. so no outlets
-it has to be in the water at all times, to get the full effects of it monitoring water incase something goes south, it will txt alert you. like heater goes out or something died and ammonia is high. and slide will sry out if not and it won't be accurate since slide has to soak in saltwater for 2 days prior to installing a new one in the seneye.
-I love the light meter function, that's one of the biggest reasons I bought it. I suspected my Radion was too on too strong of setting for my tank because I had some strange color morphs from my Acans and Scolymias. Because of the accurate readings I noticed a color change back to original color, and that's why I upgraded to the Radion Pro, and I have to regrets in the purchase of seneye and pro. I had an extreme temp fluctuation problem I didn't know about, and the online graphs it gives for all readings helped me understand my reef tank more on how it's functioning and what I needed to correct. My tank has never looked better. :-) The reviews even say it's as accurate as an expensive PAR only meter. hope this helps.

It does help, thanks for answering my questions. I'm not even thinking about buying one, I just like gadgets.
