Hello guys and gals! So right now I have a 90gallon over a 30gallon sump. I really like the 4ft wide part of it because of the space it takes up. But I guess I've got the bug to go bigger! Would you guys move up to the 120gal (48.24.24) or just stay with the 90gal?

i had a 90gal before and was thinking the same thing. but i figured it was not worth it, 30 more gal wasn't that much in my mind. not enough to justify the cost of a new stand and tank.

Gotta agree with Josh here on that one

I agree too! I would go larger than just 30 more gallons.

I was in same situation and ended up going to a 220 cause the 30 gls didnt seem worth the trouble.I'm glad I did too Love my 220:wink_smile:

Ok great. That is exactly how I'm thinking. I may rearrange and go with the 180gal but I have to start dropping hints to the wife early to move that far up lol.

Depends on your funds and want. I went from a 90 to a 120. I like the extra width front to back on the 120(48"x24") vs the 90(48"x18"). May not seem like a lot.

Also, most of the equipment you have on the 90 should be capable of running the 120. If you go bigger there are more costs involved for more equipment.

Hey bro,

Bigger.

Is.

ALWAYS.

Better!

:-)

I've got a 210, thinking my next tank will be a 300... I love the side to side, and the height.... But the 300 would give me another 12" to the back. That's huge, especially if you're a glutton for coral and fin yourself putting in more and more as it comes available.

So Allan, I poked and jabbed little hints to my wife. Little things like wouldn't it be nice to add 2 feet to the side or what if it came out just 6 inches. SHE BOUGHT IT! I'm literally doing the super happy dance in my head right lol. I basically go a 210gallon approved. So I'll be watching the for sale section now lol. I pretty much am only going to need the aquarium, stand, pump and one more led light. I believe I have enough live rock (about 180-200lbs). Anyway I'm moving on up!
